When it comes to photo, video, or electronic equipment, B&H is the defacto King. Since 1973, B&H has lead the industry in customer service, product knowledge, availability, and sheer size of the catalogue as the largest non-chain electronics retailer in the United States.
I started here as a contractor tasked with reviving the aging mobile app suite. Though we had won the Google Material Design award, the interface and experience hadn’t evolved to keep pace with the ever changing mobile landscape. The Google favorite was clearly dated from the earliest implementations of the design standard, and the user experience lacked any sort of mature design—it bordered on juvenile in animation and was clearly at odds with the commanding, authoritative stance the company is built on.
Soon enough my responsibilities grew to overseeing all of the mobile operations and offered heavy influence on general web and development lifecycle best practices.
